Stephen Crump is an associate at Freund & Brackey. Mr. Crump’s practice focuses on transactional entertainment law, intellectual property disputes and business litigation in state and federal courts, and has garnered him experience handling a wide array of matters in these fields—from favorably settling a trademark and copyright dispute with the nation’s largest girl’s fashion retailer to negotiating festival contracts for high-profile musicians.

Mr. Crump, a Southern California native, graduated from the University of Southern California in 2003, where he majored in history and minored in architecture. He received his juris doctorate from Loyola Law School, where he was recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship and the Chief Technical Editor at the school’s renowned Entertainment Law Review. Mr. Crump was admitted to the California Bar in 2007.

When he is not fighting for justice, Mr. Crump enjoys beach volleyball, basketball, skating and pretending to surf in Santa Monica. A distant relative of Hungarian classical composer, Franz Liszt, Mr. Crump also has a passion for music—and is an avid piano and guitar player who tries to soak up as many live shows—anything from jazz, hip hop to rock—as he can.
